1) www.noladiy.org: Finally, there is a site that promotes "do it yourself" culture in New Orleans. This Site gives up-to-date event listings, helpful booking and promotional information, and list of New Orleans bands, labels, community programs and zines.
2) www.moderndog.com/SWFX: Modern Dog, a Seattle-based design firm, really put this city's design scene on the map. Their vintage-retro work is imaginative, sometimes grungy and always doused with playful humor.
3) www.wolfgangsvault.com: This is the vault of all of Bill Graham's archives. In the Concert Vault, there are thousands of archived concert recordings free for streaming and hundreds available to download. Listen to lost footage from The Fillmore East and San Francisco's Winterland.
4) www.midwestisbest.com: This is the official page of Michael Perry, an illustrator, typographer, graphic artist and art director. The handmade quality and distinctive aesthetic of his work is probably why his list of clients is so remarkable. He recently came out with the infamous book on hand drawn typography called "Hand Job."
5) www.number27.org: Blending elements of science, art, anthropology and storytelling, Jonathan Harris' Web site artistically explains and explores the human world. The site is beautifully organized, and his content is like nothing you have seen before.
6) www.seeqpod.com: This is a free search engine to listen to mp3s. No downloads here, but there are other sites for that. Check out Sage Francis, Busdriver for underground hip-hop, and Devin Townsend for metal.

8) www.ryanbango.com: Ryan Larkin lived from 1943-2007. Many called him the Frank Zappa of animation film. The Site is quite new and not too detailed, but it is on the list as an honor to this hard working and under appreciated artist. Go on YouTube.com and search for his films "Walking" and "Street Musique."
9) www.thomascampbell-art.com:
The wait is finally over - this new site is the official page for Thomas Campbell, the surfer-dude artist soon to be featured in the documentary "Beautiful Losers." Full of free-flowing scribbles and layers of paint, Campbell's art represents the California surfer culture. He is also a talented filmmaker, so check out "Sprout," my favorite of all his films.
10) www.curioustribe.com Here is a blog created by a group of Loyola kids who are trying to change the world. Besides its blog, the site also contains a gallery, list of events, art, fashion and music. This tribe is definitely up to speed on today's hip and happening culture, so check it out if you need an update.
